ThyssenKrupp Safway offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package to its benefit-eligible employees. Our primary benefits, each of which will be discussed further below, are as follows:
Health Coverage
ThyssenKrupp Safway's health care benefits are designed to provide our employees and their family members with quality coverage. Our health care coverage includes a medical plan with preventive care, prescription drug coverage, dental and vision coverage.
Employee and Dependent Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
ThyssenKrupp Safway provides employees with basic life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, plus business travel accident insurance. Employees also have the opportunity to buy additional insurance for themselves and their family members.
Disability Insurance
Should employees become incapacitated and unable to work due to an illness or injury they may be eligible for our Short Term Disability (STD) or Long Term Disability (LTD) benefits.
Registered Retirement Savings Plan
ThyssenKrupp Safway offers a Registered Retirement Savings Plan to encourage employees to save for their retirement years. Through this plan a percentage of pre-tax earnings may be deferred while ThyssenKrupp Safway, Inc. contributes generous matching contributions to help save for retirement needs.
Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program provides immediate, confidential, and professional assistance and referral services to employees and family members in need. They can help with: relationship issues, legal problems, concerns about child or elder care, alcohol or drug abuse, workplace concerns, parent/child problems, balancing work and family, depression and financial concerns.
Education Assistance Program
ThyssenKrupp Safway has established an education assistance program to assist employees' children with their continuing education. The program is open to most employees who have been employed full-time for at least two continuous years at the time of the program application deadline date.
Tuition Reimbursement
ThyssenKrupp Safway recognizes the importance of continuing education for our employees, and will reimburse up to $2,000 each year following successful completion of pre-approved education courses.
