Inspection

Safety & Compliance: Inspection

Do scaffolds have to be inspected?

OSHA 1926.451 (f) (3)

Yes. OSHA requires scaffolds to be inspected by a Competent Person prior to each work shift and after any occurrence that could affect the scaffold’s integrity.

Any missing parts or defects must be corrected prior to beginning work on the scaffold.
